Hey Ocean! Release "The Hurt of Happiness" Acoustic Video

Vancouver’s indie-pop trio, Hey Ocean! release their new album, The Hurt of Happiness today April 6, 2018. To celebrate, the band is sharing an acoustic video of title-track, “The Hurt Of Happiness.”

“This video is a bit of a peek into what most of our writing sessions looked like for this new album,” notes David Vertesi. “Before we step into the studio we generally prefer to write on acoustic guitars sitting around in one of our living rooms and singing in harmony.  This is my home in Vancouver with my cat, Harriet running around our feet and a wonderful painting by Sarah Delaney on the wall - one of my favourite Vancouver artists.”

Hey Ocean! also confirms 20 new tour dates across Canada and into the U.S. for the fall. The band is on tour this week for a select few Canadian dates before heading to the West Coast of the U.S. for a series of shows later this month. Hey Ocean! will play Festival D’éte in Québec (in July) and Skookum in BC (in September).

Following the recent release of the lovely video for album opening track, “Amsterdam” featuring Ashleigh Ball on a solo bike mission around the European city, the band also recently revived their celebrated charity performance series #singitfwd in a special Juno Awards edition and headlined a sold out night at The Vogue.
