Gallery: Death From Above

Between their last Calgary appearances, Death from Above went through a name change and put out a distinctly melodic new album, creating the most interesting and diverse audience I've seen in an extremely long time. It was a beautiful sight, seeing old punks and young metal heads go absolutely bonkers for the classic bass riffs, and new hooks. With the mad dash to the barricade from the first line of "Nomad", it was evident Grainger and Keeler could move the crowd by simply playing. It was moment's like the opening riff of "Caught Up" that really showed off the almost obnoxious intensity from the (to put it nicely) intimate crowd.
